This old wooden coffee grinder at my in-law’s in Oregon makes for a really fun and challenging still life subject. I tried drawing it on our 2023 trip, but I think I had more success in 2024. The same page in my sketchbook also features a Sierran tree frog we caught and put in a jar the same trip. He was released without harm after all the kids and the resident artist had a chance to inspect him.
