This painting was part of an art/photography challenge I did with my brother in the early months of 2025. I used a photo taken on a previous trip to visit my husband’s family in the Willamette Valley. I don’t think I spent more than an hour and a half on this painting, including the sketch, and was mostly working in wet paint. The result is something much fuzzier and less precise than I usually like to paint, but I think it works well for a twilit scene.
